I decided to go to law school because I felt that middle class and lower income people needed fair, honest, and affordable lawyers, something my family never had. Everyone deserves to be heard.
Raising kids has taught me the most about being a good listener and a good teacher. Teaching children and inspiring them to be good, moral, contributing citizens in this world requires incredible patience and perseverence. It teaches you to pick your battles and to follow through on them.
My goal is to provide comfort and assistance to those who have been seriously injured or who have lost a family member tragically and unexpectedly. I chose this field because there is no better service to society than seeing the gratitude in the eyes of a client who has been wronged and received justice.
My law firm is unique because it is small enough to provide personal attention to details, and yet powerful enough to fight the big drug companies, major manufacturers, and insurance companies with the resources and commitment to win.
My ideal client is someone who is willing and able to trust me to handle the case, and at the same time, someone who will work with me and my staff as a team, hand in hand, to develop the case through settlement or trial. Cooperation and teamwork is essential. If we are able to listen to one another so that we have the same goals, we will be successful.
I love to snow ski in the winter, and I even spent seven years as a certified ski instructor at Mad River Mountain. I am an addicted golfer in the "off" season and am trying to teach my kids to play, which takes great patience!
I created and continue to run the Pro Bono Project, a joint program between the Central Ohio Association for Justice (Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association) and the United States District Court here in Columbus. As part of that program, I also provide free pro bono representation as needed.
