Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I grew up in a small family business, that, on occassion ran into issues where a lawyer was needed. Unfortunately, most of the good lawyers were too expensive or did not have the time for a small business and the issues that those businesses have. So, I decided that I wanted to help people address problems that affect their business and personal lives.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
Working in a family business and having a business background I understand the issues of small businesses and the people who run them. Also, being close with my family allows me to understand that the issues in cases are more than just dollars and cents, they are about people, their families and the impacts that legal issues have on them.
My previous legal experience has taught me the effects tragedies (i.e. auto accident, defective home construction) have on people lives.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
My background in business, my family experiences, and my early experience as a trial attorney handling personal injury and professional negligence cases.
What makes your law firm unique?
We are a small and accessible firm that has the time to focus on individual clients and their issues. Since all of our attorneys are experienced, you will not pay for someone to learn on your case. We are responsive to your requests and charge much less than a larger firm for similar services.
Describe your ideal client.
The ideal client is someone who will tell me about what is worrying them, the entire background of a dispute and what result they are looking for. The ideal client understands that litigation is generally the last resort and also respects the advice that I am giving them on how to progress with the dispute.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I enjoy spending time with my family, attending and watching sporting events and participating in events within the community.
