More than 16 years of litigation experience as an associate and partner in a major national law firm before establishing my own independent law practice devoted to the needs of individuals and small- and medium-size businesses. I have practiced in the state courts of Ohio, including the Ohio Supreme Court, and federal courts in Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin, and in the United States Supreme Court.
I handle the following kinds of cases: contract disputes; ownership disputes and fiduciary relationship issues; non-competition agreements; trade secrets; misappropriation of corporate opportunities; and appeals in most kinds of cases.

I spent about ten years in a different profession before becoming a lawyer, entering law school as a seasoned professional. Working with clients to achieve their goals provides a never-ending variety of work in this challenging profession.
Working in the field of business litigation allows me many opportunities to help clients achieve justice in their disputes with others.
My focus is on client needs, not mine. I listen carefully to understand what the client wants and needs. I am meticulous about returning phone calls and e-mails promptly, and in collaboration with the client, do what can be done to achieve the client's goals. In short, I take seriously the lawyer's professional and ethical obligation to work zealously to accomplish the client's objectives.
The ideal client is a lot like the ideal lawyer. He or she is well-informed, speaks candidly about the facts of a case, treats the lawyer as a partner in the endeavor, keeps the lawyer informed of any important changes in circumstances, and responds promptly to inquiries from the lawyer.
